They spend a very large amount of their time on player development...


Which includes a lot of strength work to fit their system. They also, of course, recruit to that system which means recruiting players who already have a solid base to work with and muscle to add

They knew their whole system was being smaller but more athletic. So the next logical step is to be small, but strong, so they can switch instead of rotating. So they spend a lot of time on it, and only play players who have multiple years in the system because theyre bigger and stronger
